From Manga Art:
The Cosmos is ruled by a holy queen who guides and watches over the movement of the stars. By balancing elemental forces with the help of nine Guardians, she keeps the planets stable and the people content...However, the power of the queen is fading and a new queen must be appointed.
Two girls are selected to be the queen candidates: Rosalia de Catargena who comes from a noble family in one of the main domains and the main character, Angelique Limoges, a seemingly ordinary girl.
Will Angelique become the holy queen? Or will she fall in love with one of the many handsome Guardians and forfeit her candidacy?
--------
Angelique follows the story of two candidates to become the ruler of the cosmos. One is very regal and well trained to rule the cosmos. The other, our protagonist, is a wild card with little experience but more heart. Both set out as part of their tests to grow and nurture their own private worlds. Each receives assistance by nine guardians (all male) who use their abilities, known as Sacrea, to help the candidates manage their worlds. The stories revolve around the friendships with our heroine, the guardians, her rival for candidacy, the queen's aide and a few of the citizens of her own world. The second part of the story deals with how the heroine grows and learns from her own mistakes while running her own world on her own quest to become queen of the cosmos.Genre(s): Fantasy, Harem, Romance, Shoujo

Japan is hit by a series of monumental natural disasters that leave the country fragmented and its people devasted. Follow the lives of its citizens as they deal with massive emigration to refugee camps on the Asian mainland and try to solve the political task of rebuilding their nation.
A Spirit of the Sun is also a retelling and melding of two well-known stories in Japan. The setting is directly lifted from the early '70s disaster science-fiction book and movie "Nippon Chinbotsu," (Japan Sinks) while many of the characters are allegorical to the key players in the Eastern classic "Sangokushi" (The Three Kingdoms). Sangokushi aficionados may discover greater entertainment by watching the characters in A Spirit of the Sun closely to spot these resemblances.

[From Wikipedia]:
The Onmyou Taisenki manga does not tell the same history as the anime. The story happens years before the events in the anime.
The main character, Yakumo (who also appears on the anime, as a teenager) is the son of Monju, the chef priest of the Taihaku Temple, in Kyoto. Yakumo also trains the In, with a baseball ball. In this temple, a Toujinshi (闘神土, literally 'god of war'), and Monju's former teacher, Mahoroba, is imprisioned.
The problems start when Mahoroba escapes, gains power, and transforms Monju into stone. Yakumo is called by a Zero Drive, which was one of the treasures of the temple. This Zero Drive handles Byakko no Kogenta. The story of the manga is about Yakumo's first steps with a Shikigami, training with Idzuna (Taihaku Temple's shrine maiden) and seeking Mahoroba through various Japanese historical dates. Famous Japanese historical characters such as Oda Nobunaga can be seen on the manga.Genre(s): Action, Historical, Shounen

Date Bashira is a series of stories about the Sengoku era in Japan. However, unlike most textbooks and historical mangas, Date Bashira does not focus on the Shogun or famous figures in history. Instead, it brings to light the untold stories of the things surrounding these famous figures. For example, one story tells about the role of how beautiful young men were always accompanying the shoguns into battle. As women were not allowed into a battle zone, the warlords would use these teenage boys to satisfy their sexual urges.
A different chapter tells the history of the wives of the Shoguns and focuses on the female role in the Sengoku era. As young women were forced into arranged marriages, usually as peace offerings or spies, their husbands usually die in battle at a very early age, as it was the era of war. Date Bashira discusses the idea of remarriage for these women and if they were really in love or were playing the role of a wife.
Date Bashira takes a different perspective at one of Japan’s most talked about era and even though it is informative, you never get the feeling of a lecture. The beautiful artwork, splash of comedy and the untold, yet interesting historical information really keeps the reader glued onto the pages.
